Sunrise Cell
The Concept
Although the SUNRISE became the most popular and best-selling model after its introduction in 2011, our passion for and a permanent ambition to turn high quality loudspeakers into even better products let us start the development of the new »SUNRISE CELL«. The main cause for the deviations from the original 2.5-way concept was the extremely high quality of the new Accuton CELL-Concept Tweeter. The »SUNRISE CELL« is a very complex and fully developed 3-way design offering musical enthusiasm which can hardly be surpassed.
The Cabinet
The cabinets of the »SUNRISE CELL« are handcrafted by skilled carpenters using our multi-layer construction. The Airflow construction, numerous internal braces and the lute-shaped design minimize the vibrations of the enclosure to an absolute minimum. The CELL-Concept Tweeter is housed in its own chamber to further improve the soundstage and imaging. The precious and elegant look of the real wood veneers confirms the status as an exclusive ARTOS AUDIO loudspeaker. Up to 20 sheets of veneer are artistically matched and arranged before the high-gloss piano finish - obtained by 10 layers of lacquer - is ground and polished by hand.
Inside
The transparent, detailed and airy high frequencies are the result of the 30mm CELL-CONCEPT Tweeter made by the renowned company Accuton. However, the core of the »SUNRISE CELL« is the 7" ceramic midrange-driver that offers unsurpassed resolution and naturalness. The powerful Neodymium-Magnet system, an oversized Titanium Voice Coil and special “damping-ears“ that reduces the resonances of the ceramic membrane underline the high-tech position of this midrange driver. To generate a very deep and tight bass as well as processing extremely high levels two 7" ceramic Woofers are used up to 250Hz. All drivers are graphite-coated while the traditional white look of the Accuton drivers is also available upon request. Because the custom-made drivers are matched to the cabinet we have been able to minimize the parts needed for the crossover. Silver-Gold-Oil-Capacitors and custom made Zero-Ohm Foil-Coils made by Mundorf are used in an intelligent 6dB Design.
